Chapter 673 Hendrix's smile slowly faded. Then, he got out of bed and poured himself a glass of water.
Noelle assumed it was for himself. But when he turned around, he held the glass out to her instead. "I was joking. Not funny, huh?" She still didn't say anything, but she took the glass from him. That alone was enough of a response for Hendrix. His lips curled slightly.
"Get srest." Noelle took a single sip before setting the glass aside. "I'm going out for a walk." But before she could step outside, Hendrix grabbed her hand. "Where are you going?" "The yard. To get ssun." "I'll go with you." "Weren't you feeling awful just a moment ago? You should rest more if you're really sick." As she spoke, she swept her gaze over him with obvious skepticism. It was clear she didn't believe a word about him being sick.

The words were on the tip of Noelle's tongue, but she ultimately slowly swallowed them back.
Her silence, to Hendrix, was as good as agreement. Without hesitation, he dragged her downstairs by the hand.
Just as they had seen from the room, the sunlight was indeed splendid today. Under its golden glow, the carousel Hendrix had specially ordered seemed even more vibrant.
Noelle found her mood lifting slightly as she looked at it. Hendrix, however, was looking at her instead. She could feel his gaze on her, but she chose to ignore it.
That was until he finally asked, "Do you want to try it?" "What?" "The carousel. Do you want to sit on it?" Noelle let out a small scoff. "I'm not a kid anymore." "Did you ever ride one when you were young?" The question caught her off guard, leaving her momentarily speechless.
After a pause, she finally replied, "I don't remember anything before I was five years old. But after that... No, I never did. Back then, I didn't even know what the cotton candy sold outside my school tasted like, so how would I have a chance to ride something like this?" These things had happened long ago. Noelle figured none of it really mattered anymore. So, when she spoke of it now, her tone carried a hint of ease.

But Hendrix studied her intently-long enough that she started to feel m uncomfortable. Just as she was about to change the subject, he took her hand again. "So what if you're not a kid anymore? If you want to take a ride on the carousel, then just do it." As he spoke, Hendrix was already leading her forward. She tried to pull away, but he quickly pressed her down on the carousel. Then, he settled in behind her and wrapped his arms around her.
The carousel started moving. Noelle had no way of getting off now. She could only grip the pole in front of her, frowning as she looked back at Hendrix.
But he was gazing up at the colorful paintings on the ceiling instead. Then, he said, "Actually I've never Bithe ridden one, either. My dad passed away early, so I was always told to grow up fast and be independent as soon as possible.
