Still, Frank could hardly blSally once he thought about it—she was raised in a single family, and by a terrible father at that.
But while she might think differently from others, did she have to stray that far?
Sighing, he said, "I can understand if you want to swindle the enemy, making them think that you care for nothing, so that they
won't hurt your mother because of you. But if that's not the case, I'll be honest... | must change my opinion of you."
Sally snorted. "What? Perhaps you think a person who doesn't care for their mommy is cruel and cold-blooded, and being friends
with them makes you a villain too?"
"If you understand that, why can't you change?"
Sallypletely ignored the question. "Jouri Yelin wasn't lying. You can go after Hector Clet, and I'd suggest you do it right away."
"You cjust to tellthat?"
"Why else would | be here?" Sally shrugged. "Now that we've got that out of the way, shall we get down to business? Just pretend

Frank shoved Sally before she could throw herself on top of him and turned to leave.
Sally rolled her eyes. "What a prude. Do you know how many men out there are lusting for me?"
Ignoring her, Frank shut the door in her face, while Sally's coquettish smile faded and her eyes flashed coolly.
The next day, Jada arrived at Frank's office and reported her findings. "We've found out that while Hector Clet is connected to his
handlers, it's just as colleagues. His intentions ining to Shagan aren't exactly pure either—like Sally York, he's obsessed with
the spiritron vein too.
"Now that someone's beat him to it, he's really upset, so he went against his handlers’ orders and stayed here in Shagan. To make
money and sustain the martial artists working for him, he had to collaborate with unsavory people in the region."
"Hector's benefactors... You mean the Martial Alliance?" Frank asked, curious.
Jada shogk-her head. "The Martial ».
Alliance has authority, but they'rex

Frank was at once interested that there was a political faction in the country he did not know about.
That in turn made it necessary to hide their identity.

"How do we find the handlers?" Frank asked.
Frank nodded—the Cerulean Summit Legion could not be blamed there, as none of them could hope to match a political faction.
"What about Hector's lackeys?" he asked instead.
"They're being called back to him at a mansion in the suburbs. There's around twenty of them—we can deal with them if you like."
Frank waved her off. "Hector's a loser, but that doesn't apply to the people under hismand. I'll go just in case."
Jada nodded, knowing that no one could change Frank's mind once he decided on something. "Sure. They're not that good
anyway."
Half an hour later, their Rolls-Royce arrived at the mansion outside of town.
As Frank alighted, he saw that the mansion was abandoned for a while and covered with fallen leaves as well as vines.
Crows were circling the air above, making it look like a house of horrors.
"So that's how they stayed under the radar. No one would usuallye to a place like this!"
