Chapter 1007 +25 BONUS Magnus observed the boy at the table, noticing the young woman holding his hand. He could tell Lucius was overwhelmed and nervous. Smiling, he carried on the conversation as if nothing was happening.
"Well, I suppose I'm not exactly a conventional grandfather...! Maximus toldyou're currently living in New Zealand," Magnus said casually.
"Yes... That's where Amanda and I live. We're studying law Lucius answered timidly under Magnus's scrutinizing gaze.
"You're going to be lawyers?" Magnus asked, genuinely surprised.
"Yes... We both study law. That's actually how we met," Amanda replied, squeezing her boyfriend's hand.

"What exactly do we owe to Moriarty?" a voice called out from across the room.
"Maximus! Well, thanks to Moriarty, our dear Lucius now wants to be a lawyer. And I think that's fantastic news!" Magnus said, beaming.
"I suppose it is a good thing to have a couple of lawyers in the family. We can never have too many, especially considering how the Palmers and the Evanses are,” Maximus said, encouraging his son's career choice.
"That's what I thought. It's good that this young man is preparing himself—who knows? Maybe one day, he could even beca judge, like Moriarty," Magnus added, glancing at his son, who was now giving him an unimpressed look.
For Lucius, interacting with Magnus felt strange. It was only the second the'd seen him, and from what little he'd observed, the man was nothing like the other older men he knew.
"Dad, Diana, hurry up and sit down! We're starving!" Laura called out, more of a command than a request. "Sorry, guys, sorry... We're coming," Diana said apologetically.
"Diana, how was Japan? What's it like? Is it interesting?" Maurice asked, clearly excited to hear about her trip. "Yeah, it's an interesting place, but honestly, I didn't have much tto explore. I only saw the airport and the hotel where the meeting was held." "Wow, really?" Maurice said, looking disappointed. "That means you didn't bringanything." "Who said that? Of course, I got you something! Once you finish dinner, go to your room and look for it. You too, Paul," Diana said with a warm smile.
Lucius simply watched as his siblings interacted with her. Maximus had mentioned her before, but for him, accepting her presence was still difficult.
"Alright, let's eat. And don't forget-you all need to get to bed early. Tomorrow, we have to be at the church first thing in the morning." "Lucius... Are you coming to the wedding?" Maurice asked curiously.
"No, little one... I'd love to, but I have scommitments. Have fun and enjoy the day!" Lucius replied affectionately.
"Oh... I thought you'd be there with us," Laura said, surprised.

"No, sorry. Amanda and I have sothe things to take care of before Porobefore we n leave. But enjoy the celebration! We'll see each other when you all return," Lucius said with a smile.
What he didn't say was that he preferred to keep his distance. He knew the things he had done in the past, and he didn't want to create any awkward moments on a day that was supposed to be special-not just for the bride and groom, but for the whole family.
The dinner passed without any incidents or uncomfortable topics. Everyone made the most of that moment because, for the first time, they were all gathered together at the table. Even though seeing Magnus and Diana felt strange and uncomfortable for Lucius, he didn't say anything. There were many things he would have to get used to.
As dinner wrapped up, Diana stood up just as Maurice was about to leave the table.
"Dad, I'm sleepy... I'm going to bed," Maurice said, rubbing his eyes as he walked over to kiss his father's cheek.
"I'll take you, sweetheart," Diana said, getting up and taking his hand.
"I'll cwith you-I want to see what Diana brought us, Paul added casually.
"Alright, sweethearts, let's go to bed. Now, tell me, what have you two been up to while I was away?" Diana's voice trailed off as she led them out of the room.
