Chapter 637 The thirteenth floor's security system was still no obstacle for Casper.

Brian, his assistant, stood awkwardly at the door, flashing a sheepish grin. "Mr. Casper, Ms. Eliza's in a meeting right now. How about you leave the stuff with me, and I'll make sure she knows it cstraight from you?" Brian held out his hand, and Casper, not wanting to cause a scene, opted for a graceful compromise. "Just remind her to eat properly, okay?" "Don't worry, Mr. Casper, I'll definitely pass on the message." Casper nodded, slid his hands into his pockets, and headed off the thirteenth floor.

Brian quickly shut the door and rushed to Eliza's office with the delivery.

"Ms. Eliza, Mr. Casper sent over breakfast. Maybe you should grab a bite while it's still warm?" Brian placed the insulated container in front of her and poured her a glass of warm water. "He made it himself, just the way you like it. Bet it's both healthy and tasty." Eliza was engrossed in the data on her computer screen, ignoring the breakfast made with care. "Brian, when are our flights to Paris booked for?" "The day after tomorrow, we're leaving in the morning." Brian nudged the container closer to her. "Ms. Eliza, why not eat a little first? It's all thanks to Mr. Casper." Finally, Eliza glanced at the container. Sandwiches and heart-shaped sushi rolls-he knew her favorites. "Have stoo," she offered a heart-shaped sushi roll to Brian. "I can't finish all this by myself." "This was made by Mr. Casper himself, just for you. I couldn't possibly join in. Take your time, we've got an hour before the meeting." Brian nudged the water glass her way. "And don't forget to hydrate. I'll be off handling sother stuff." Eliza nodded, feeling the warmth of the breakfast lift her spirits.

Her phone pinged with a message from Casper: How's it? Does it suit Ms. Eliza's taste? Eliza replied: It's alright, not much improvement.

Casper responded: Seems like Ms. Eliza isn't completely happy. No worries, I'll keep improving.

Eliza: There's hope for you yet.

Casper: Happy dance.gif Casper: Babe, any chance you could lift the security on the thirteenth floor? I'd love to see you but can't get in. Puppy eyes.gif Eliza: Nope.

Casper: Tearful eyes.gif The barrage of animated emojis made Eliza's head spin. She put her phone down, deciding not to engage further.

The upcoming film festival in Paris was a big deal for Crystal Clear. There was plenty of groundwork to be laid before the event. She figured she might have to camp out at the office the next few days.

After waiting a while and still not hearing back from Eliza, Casper dove into his work.

Two days later, Eliza was off to Paris straight from the office.

Dillon, back from Golden Ridge, handed Casper a paternity test. "Mr. Casper, turns out Fiona's kid isn't Rory's." "The kid's got potential. If Fiona raises him right, he could have a bright future. But I'm worried..."

Fiona might just look for another target to achieve what she couldn't with him. The child seemed more like a roadblock to her happiness. Chances were, the kid wouldn't have the best future ahead. "What did old Feng have to say?" Casper asked, glancing up at Dillon.

"Old Feng isn't completely against the his kid, but he kept going on about his problems. He owes his current status to his wife's family, so divorce is off the table, and he can't bring the kid home." Dillon got it. Having parents who neither care nor want you is a raw deal.

Thinking about the kid always left Casper uneasy. "Tomorrow, get them out of the house, and... you're coming withto Paris." "You're really heading to Paris to be your wife's assistant?" Dillon's surprise was laced with a bit of teasing.
