Just moments ago, Yanis had left, and something about Allison seemed off. Usually, she was always so bright and
cheerful, but this time, it was different.

Macro glanced at Stephanie and said, “Are you really planning to take her to Fiorenza? Yanis probably won't
agree that easily, right?” If Yanis didn’t go along with it, leaving Long Harbor tonight was bound to stir up trouble.
Stephanie shook her head. “Didn’t Sebastian say he’d handle it?” Whether Yanis agreed or not, all that mattered
to Stephanie right now was Allison.
Macro nodded. “You're right. There's nothing he can’t handle. For a second, he thought having Yanis’s lover
around might be more trouble than it was worth.
“Sebastian said he’ll cpick you up later,” he added.
“Got it.” Stephanie nodded, then turned and walked into the hospital room to see Allison.
As soon as she stepped inside, her phone buzzed. It was Sebastian. “Hey, Sebastian,” she answered.

“Is there anything you want to bring back?” Sebastian asked.
Stephanie shook her head. “No. Just have someone tidy up the stuff in the study. Those were the gifts for her
mom and Sofia. As for her own things, Stephanie had already decided she didn’t want to bring anything back
from Long Harbor. Sebastian hummed in agreement. “Tell Allison to get ready. I'll cpick you all up for the
airport soon.”
Stephanie glanced out the window. It wasn’t early anymore. “We're leaving right away?”
Sebastian chuckled softly. “You beat up from being at the hospital? If you are, you should head hand crash.
We've got time
Stephanie shook her head. “No need. I'll wait for you here.” With Allison in her current state, there was no way
Stephanie was leaving.
“Alright, Sebastian said, his voice gentle.
They talked for a few more minutes before Stephanie hung up. A moment later, a nurse walked in, followed by
staff pushing a bed.
“What are you doing?” Stephanie asked, frowning. This was a VIP room. She didn’t think they had the right to
just stick another bed in here and let someone else in.
The nurse glanced at her and replied calmly, “Ms. Giovanni, this was arranged by our director. In case you get
tired and want to rest here.”
“But there's a sofa here,” Stephanie said. She knew Sebastian must have made the call if the director had
arranged it. She wasn’t a kid anymore, yet he was still acting like he needed to take care of her.
The nurse smiled. “Sleeping on the sofa wouldn't be comfortable.” She quickly found a spot for the bed and
made it up with sheets and a blanket.
Stephanie's eyes widened in appreciation of Sebastian's thoughtfulness.
The nurse finished tidying up and said to Stephanie, “If you need anything else, just buzz us with the call
button.”
“Okay, Stephanie nodded politely. “Thanks”

“No problem at all,” the nurse replied, shaking her head before leaving the room with a respectful nod.

Allison glanced over. “I didn’t expect Mr. Giovanni to be so thoughtful.” She shook her head. Based on the
rumors, she'd never guessed Sebastian was such a gentle guy.
Stephanie almost mentioned that Yanis had been just as attentive to Allison, but she kept quiet.

If Allison was so eager to leave, that meant something serious must have happened between them. And since
Allison wasn't talking about it, Stephanie wasn’t going to ask. She figured it was the best way to look out for
Allison.
Still, remembering how Allison’s eyes used to light up whenever she talked about Yanis, Stephanie couldn't help
but ask, “Are you really coming withto Fiorenza?”
As far as Stephanie could tell, there were only two reasons Allison might want to leave Long Harbor-either
something major had gone wrong with Yanis, or she was just acting out of spite.
Deep down, Stephanie hoped it was the second one because she wanted Allison to be okay.
Allison nodded. “Of course. Thank you for this.”
Stephanie just nodded back. “Don’t mention it.”
