Chapter 477
On the other end of the line, Allison, looking at the two cars that had gone down together, said, “Yeah, it seems
like we might need to.”
Given the current situation, even more vehicles might not be enough to pull the cars back up. ‘Sweat, what was |
thinking, not realizing this sooner?‘ she thought.
I'll call for a rescue vehicle right away, Allison said.
Hearing this, Stephanie glanced outside again; the snow appeared to be falling even harder. “Why don’t you
cto Shallow Bay Area for now?” she suggested.
Since they were calling for a rescue, it was clear that her car wouldn't be retrieved anytsoon. Moreover,
even if it were, she might not be able to drive it immediately.
“How am | supposed to get there? The car that cto tow mine is down there too,” Allison replied, describing
the rather dire scene.
“Ill cpick you up,” Stephanie offered.
“If your driving skills aren't up to par, you better not come. The roads are too slippery today,” Allison warned,
concerned for Stephanie’s safety.
Stephanie responded, “Underestimating me, are you?” Her driving skills were far from ordinary.

Back when Sofia had taken her away for training, it hadn't been just about physical endurance. That month had
involved much more, especially in terms of practical skills-skills for escaping, to be precise.
Glancing at the icy landscape outside, Stephanie felt that she really needed to go there herself today.
“I'm not underestimating you; I'm just worried. The roads are all icy today,” Allison reiterated.
“Wait there,” Stephanie said, hanging up abruptly.
With both cars down, Allison was probably standing by the roadside, shivering in the cold. Stephanie turned to
the butler. “Arrange a car.”
Is Miss planning to drive herself? That's definitely not possible, the butler immediately objected.
Stephanie raised an eyebrow. “What?”
Henry continued, “Mr. Giovanni wouldn't allow it. Letsend a car to pick up Dr. Pierce.”
Stephanie countered, “Are you sure there's a driver capable of handling these roads right now?”
The butler replied, “That's underestimating Mr. Giovanni, isn’t it? What kind of talented individuals surround Mr.
Giovanni? The previous incident was just an accident.”
Stephanie fell silent. He had a point. She was just worried about Allison. ‘What if Henry sent another driver who
might have an accident?’
As if reading her thoughts, Henry quickly added, “Ms. Giovanni, rest assured. I'll make sure she gets here. You
don’t need to go.”
Without waiting for Stephanie's response, he hurried off to arrange the car to pick up Allison.
Sebastian wasn’t around right now, and the butler didn’t dare let Stephanie drive out in this weather. If

to her, Mr. Giovanni would surely cback and make them pay dearly.
Not long after the butler left, Sebastian's call cthrough. Stephanie answered, “Brother”
The weather is bad today, you shouldn't go out, Sebastian said.

Stephanie fell silent. The butler was really quick with his mouth. It hadn't even been five minutes, and Sebastian
had already called.
This kind of road is a piece of cake for me, Stephanie grumbled.
Still not allowed, Sebastian replied firmly.

Stephanie sighed, “Okay.” If he said no, then no. Why be so serious?
Besides, hadn't she lived just fine during the three years they were apart? Why did she seem like someone
without the ability to take care of herself in front of him now?
Be a good girl and listen. I'll bring you something yummy when | get back, Sebastian coaxed, his tone softening
as he spoke to her, much like he would with a child.
Stephanie replied, “The one you broughtlast night, | haven't eaten yet.”
Huh?
Then you bringanother one, Stephanie huffed.
Last night, he had been drinking outside, and she had been so focused on taking care of him that she had
completely forgotten about the chestnut cake. She didn’t know how delicious that chestnut cake was, but it must
have been really good if he had thought to bring it back for her.
Today it's something different, Sebastian said.
Alright then, Stephanie agreed.
They exchanged a few more words before hanging up the phone.
Sebastian was still the sas when Stephanie was a child. Every the went out, he would bring her
something delicious to eat, always treating her like a little kid with a sweet tooth.
