He knew who this man was. He was a good friend of her former cheating fiancé, Walter Simmons.

He glared at Mariel with an edge in his voice and spoke harshly, "Mariel, look at you, acting like a shrew. Who
else is going to want you but me? Now you're callinga scumbag. Who do you think you are? A celestial
fairy?"
"lI am not a fairy, and | will never be worthy of a scumbag like you!" she said. Mariel, with her hot temper,
couldn't help but retort with a sneer on her lips, aimed at Walter.

Walter, Simon, and the group of young men behind them instinctively took a step back, even though she didn't
utter any profanities.
The private room was quite spacious, and the music was blaring in the background. It was only at that moment
